COMMENT PERIOD CLOSED ON I-495 CAPITAL BELTWAY AND ROUTE 267 INTERCHANGE
ALEXANDRIA— The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) recently presented Information on the proposed design of the interchange at I-495 and Dulles Toll Road (Route 267) as part of the I-495 HOT Lanes project.
Citizens were encouraged to comment on the proposed design modifications to ramps at the Capital Beltway interchange with the Dulles Toll Road and Dulles Airport Access Road. Documents distributed at the meeting are available in the "Document Center" section below.
The proposed design change would give motorists heading to or from the Washington Dulles International Airport a direct connection to I-495 or to the Dulles Toll Road. Currently, motorists heading to or from the airport must merge across several lanes of the Dulles Toll Road to enter/exit the Dulles Access Road. These proposed design modifications are part of the I-495 Beltway HOT lanes project.
