NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN AT ROUTE 123 AND BELTWAY
Long-term Route 123 north ramp closure
The ramp from Route 123 north to I-495 north is closed for up to two years beginning October, 2010.
Crews installed a traffic signal just before Capital One Drive for motorists on northbound Route 123 heading to I-495 north. Two left turn lanes will allow for dual left turns toward I-495 north. Traffic merging onto I-495 north from Route 123 south will now yield to traffic taking the signalized left turn onto I-495 north. Motorists should expect additional delays in this area during peak travel times.
This work is part of the I-495 High Occupancy Toll (HOT) Lanes project.
