Extended Weekend HOV Daytime Closures Suspended This Weekend:
To accommodate travel patterns related to Spring Break, and Holiday travel, VDOT will not be implementing weekend HOV closures associated with the 95 Express Lanes.

Defense Access Road (DAR) Ramp Closures:
Backlick Road (Rte. 617) NOrth and South from Barta Road to Fullerton Road-Left lane closed Onday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for equipment mobilization and delivery.

General Lane Closure Info

The Lane Closure Bulletin provides commuters like you a weekly heads-up on what to expect around major construction areas in the Northern Virginia area. It lets you know about closures related to the I-95 Express Lanes project, the Dulles Metrorail project, the I-95 Shoulder Improvement project, and any other notable construction-related closures in the region.

While much of the Virginia Megaprojects' construction takes place behind barriers, lane closures are necessary at certain times. Generally no lane closures will occur during rush hours - 5 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays. Nighttime closures occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and between 11 p.m. and 9 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights unless otherwise noted. Daytime closures occur Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and Friday between 9:30 a.m. and noon unless otherwise noted.
