HOV Lanes Closed All Day Saturday and Sunday
Weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes on I-395/95 from the Washington, D.C., line to the end at Dumfries Road (Route 234), beginning at 11 p.m. Friday night, September 26 through 5 a.m. Monday, September 29. Drivers are advised that the closures will be in place all day on Saturday and Sunday, September 27-28. The HOV lanes will reopen in the northbound direction in time for the morning commute on Monday morning by 5 a.m.

Motorists will be directed to use the general purpose lanes.
