General Lane Closure Hours

While much construction will take place behind concrete barriers, lane closures will be necessary at certain times. Generally no lane closures will occur during rush hours – 5 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays. An exception is the daytime closure scheduled on I-95 south. Lane closures are permitted on I-95 south between exits 166 and 160 between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

There are generally no interstate lane closures on holiday weekends. Businesses and residential communities will remain accessible.
