UPDATE WEEKEND EXIT RAMP CLOSURES AT I-495 AND LITTLE RIVER TURNPIKE
Detours will be in place

ALEXANDRIA—Beginning at 9:30 p.m. Friday night, July 22, Exit 52A, I-495 north to Little River Turnpike west (Route 236) and Little River Turnpike east to I-495 north will be closed until 5 a.m. Monday morning, July 25, for ramp work according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).  Detours will be place all weekend.  

I-495 north to Little River Turnpike west detour route: Continue on I-495 north to Exit 51, Gallows Road (Route 650), turn left at the traffic signal over the Beltway and follow signs onto I-495 south to Exit 52A, Little River Turnpike west.

Little River Turnpike east to I-495 north detour route: Exit onto I-495 south to Exit 54B, Braddock Road east (Route 620), ride the loop ramps and follow signs onto I-495 north.

Motorists may encounter delays during peak hours approaching the I-495 and Little River Turnpike interchange.  This work is part of the Capital Beltway High Occupancy Toll (HOT) Lanes Project.
