I-495 north Exit 54 closed this and next weekend

Detour will be in place

ALEXANDRIA— The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close the I-495 north exit ramp to westbound Braddock Road (Route 620) from 9 p.m. Friday July 16 to 5 a.m. Monday July 19 for utility relocation.  A detour will be in place.

This closure is also scheduled for the weekend of July 23-26, weather permitting.

Detour Route: Continue north on I-495 to Exit 52A, Little River Turnpike west, stay to right and follow signs for I-495 south. Once on I-495 south take Exit 54A, Braddock Road west.

Motorists may encounter delays approaching the I-495 and Braddock Road interchange.  This work is part of the Capital Beltway High Occupancy Toll (HOT) Lanes Project.
