Braddock Road west ramp to Capital Beltway, I-495 north, closed this weekend


ALEXANDRIA—Beginning at 9:30 p.m. Friday night, June 25, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close the Braddock Road (Route 620) westbound exit ramp to I-495 north until 5 a.m. Monday morning, June 28, to allow construction crews to relocate utilities.


Detour Route: Continue west on Braddock Road, over I-495 and take the exit ramp onto I-495 south and follow the ramp around onto Braddock Road east back over I-495 and exit onto I-495 north.

Braddock Road motorists may encounter delays approaching the I-495 interchange especially during peak day and evening hours.  Should inclement weather delay the work the ramp closures will be rescheduled. This work is part of the Capital Beltway High Occupancy Toll (HOT) Lanes Project.
