I-95 SOUTH EXIT 166B OPENS IN DECEMBER 2010
Fullerton Road overpass has reopened
ALEXANDRIA—I-95 south Exit 166B to Alban Road has been closed for one year but is now preparing to open in December 2010, giving motorists on I-95 south direct access to the Fairfax County Parkway heading west. Until this ramp opens, motorists will continue using Exit 167 to access Fullerton Road. See below for map.
This detour will be in place over the next few months as the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the Department of the Army and the Virginia Department of Transportation complete the final two-mile stretch of the Fairfax County Parkway from Rolling Road to Fullerton Road. Phase I & II of the parkway project, which includes the four-lane parkway and the intersection with Rolling Road, was completed in September 2010. Phases III and IV, which include ramps to Boudinot Drive and Hooes Road, will be completed in 2012.
