I-95 south merges to three lanes at Exit 167, Backlick Road

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The four lanes of southbound I-95 now merge to three lanes 3/4 mile sooner than normal. This early merge will be in place near Exit 167, Backlick Road, through October, 2010.

Exit 167 is just south of the Springfield Interchange. View a map of the area here. This work zone protects crews that are widening the ramp to Exit 166B, Alban Road, which has been closed for ramp widening.

This work is connected with the Fairfax County Parkway project.
