Westbound Dulles Airport Access Highway shifted near Wiehle Avenue

Drivers using the westbound lanes of the Dulles International Airport Access Highway will experience traffic disruptions because of lane shifts tonight and intermittently at night over the next two weeks near the Wiehle Avenue bridge.

Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project Crews will shift lanes in this area to the right to expand the construction zone for the Wiehle Avenue Metrorail Station in the median of the Airport Access Highway. The work will begin at the Wiehle Avenue overpass, and will taper back to the left after the work zone ends.

Similar shifts were made in the eastbound lanes several weeks ago. Motorists should exercise extreme caution in this area over the coming weeks.
