I-495 SOUTH TO ROUTE 7 WEST EXIT RAMP MERGE EXTENDED
Exit ramp will be reconfigured
ALEXANDRIA— Beginning at 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 8, the I-495 south exit ramp, Exit 47A, leading to Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west will be moved up 400 feet to allow crews room to construct the new exit ramps as part of the Capital Beltway High Occupancy Toll (HOT) Lanes Project.
Motorists traveling to Route 7 west, Exit 47A, will need to use caution and exit sooner as the new merge lane will be reconfigured for westbound traffic only. Route 7 east, Exit 47B traffic will not be impacted and motorists will continue to use the old exit ramp lane to Route 7 east.

Major closures on I-495 north and south I-495 north and south will experience multiple lane closures after 9:30 p.m. near I-66 and Braddock Road. All lanes will close for up to 30 minutes after midnight.
