WEEKDAY SCHEDULE CHANGE FOR I-95/395 REVERSIBLE LANES
Affects non-HOV times only for six months
CHANTILLY— The weekday schedule for the I-95/395 reversible lanes in northern Virginia is modified for the next six months to help ease construction-related delays, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
From May 3 until November 1, the northbound high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes will close at 10 a.m. rather than 11 a.m. and the southbound HOV lanes will open at noon rather than 1 p.m., Mondays through Fridays.
The temporary schedule change will help ease delays on southbound I-95, where one lane is closed between the Fairfax County Parkway and Route 123 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to noon on Fridays. The lane closure is part of the I-95 widening project.
There is no change to the HOV-3 schedule: HOV-3 (three persons in a vehicle) is in effect from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
