Overview

Click here to view the draft environmental assessment for the southern section of the I-95 HOV/Bus/HOT Lanes project in Stafford and Spotsylvania Counties and the City of Fredericksburg.

In August 2009 VDOT Chief Engineer Malcolm Kerley wrote a letter notifying the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority and the Fredericksburg Metropolitan Planning Organization that VDOT and the private partners would not reach a commercial close on the I-95/395 HOV/BUS/HOT Lanes as originally planned in 2009. Click here to read this letter. A revised project scope is under consideration at this time. A decision on the revised scope is expected to be reached in the Fall of 2010.
